Tania Swift

Tania Swift embarked on her DJ career in the mid 90’s, initially playing private parties in London and then moving to Scotland where her DJ career took off. She began playing house, mostly from Detroit and Chicago, until she discovered a love of Drum and Bass.

Having been obsessed with music and the discovery of new music since her early teens, it was inevitable that Tania would find her way into the music scene and once she purchased her first Technique 1200s she was hooked. She co-founded the Elements collective in 1998 with Rob and Kemal of Konflict fame and Steve Elements, going on to being one of the most successful Drum and Bass/Hip Hop nights in Scotland, irrespective of the fact that it was on a Wednesday night.

Alongside her regular and headlining DJ slots in Scotland, South Africa, England and Switzerland, you were able to hear her specialist shows on Beat 106, Capital and Radio Magnetic where she introduced the masses to new music and interviewed everybody who was anybody on the scene. She also has a degree in Audio Technology and has been known to produced music and sounds for plays.

Tania has graced Grandmaster Flash with her selection of hip hop, funk and soul, played side by side with Lady Miss Kerr from Delight, entertained celebs at the Cheltenham Jazz and Literary Festivals, been involved in the BBC Radio 1 Drum and Bass tours and had a DJ mix commissioned by BBC Radio 1 Xtra.

She is now part of the Lucky Onion DJ Collective, and if you are looking for a DJ who knows her Drum and Bass and House or who knows how to creates a cool party atmosphere with her eclectic taste in old school hip hop, funk and soul then look no further.
