The multi-talented Lisa Unique initially began her career as a classically trained musician, then by chance, after borrowing a set of turntables from a friend, found her new vocation as a world class pioneer DJ/ producer, mentor & business woman.

HISTORY

In 2001, Lisa Unique stamped her indelible mark on the music industry at the Winter Miami Music Conference, helping set the scene for the urban explosion of UK Garage, that went to become an integral part of today’s mainstream. Though, as garage began its retreat to its underground roots back home, Lisa Unique continued to fly the flag for the genre and took off to other territories like Holland, India, Russia, America, Italy and Norway where UK genre was blowing up.  With the support of brands like Vestax and Pioneer, Lisa returned from a world tour with a whole new international profile & a solid grip of the massive opportunities that lay ahead.

Lisa Unique has secured her position as one of the UK’s premier female DJs, with her added ability to read music heightening her sense of timing, beat matching and building a set, Lisa has become one of the few skilled high profile darlings of the dance scene, enjoyed by audiences of thousands at clubs & events across the world for high profile brands such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Glastonbury, V Festival, Nike, Miami Winter Music Conference. Lisa’s DJ sets cover a wide range of genres.

PRODUCER

Lisa went on to produce her own tracks, gaining recognition from the likes of Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul and Jeremy Healey with the boundary-breaking house-driven garage track UNIQUE (Sony INCredible imprint) which was well received by garage and house fans across the UK, USA and Japan.  Alongside her production, she gained acclaim for her club banger remixes of the likes of Aaliyah’s TRY AGAIN (Virgin) and Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg’s THE NEXT EPISODE. In 2014, Lisa has new tracks due for release under her Headphones & Heels brand, featuring her in-house artists of which will be promoted through tours.
